Flag Blue Yellow Blue

Barbados

barbados
The Barbados flag was officially adopted on November 30, 1966, when the country gained independence from British rule. Designed by Grantley Prescod, the flag features three vertical panels - an ultramarine blue stripe on each side and a golden yellow stripe in the center. The black trident head breaks into three pieces, symbolizing the break from colonial rule. The trident's staff was deliberately removed to mark this significant separation.
